20 years and 20 children later...

Back in the summer of 1996, 5 friends got their picture taken together.

Then they did it again 20 years later.

I've been blessed to have stayed connected with these fine women for the past 20 years. We don't always talk a lot, or see each other often. But when we are able to get together, it's very comfortable and encouraging. I know I will always have a friend in them.

And ironically, we have 20 children between the 5 of us!

Blueberry picking...

Sometimes our intentions are far better than our executions. Our blueberry picking didn't go smoothly so we ended early and had to buy additional picked blueberries just to have enough for a pie! But for a few brief moments, they had fun!

summer stuff

Tripp had his actual first birthday and ate his cake this time. He was too tired to eat cake at the group birthday party.

Peter and I enjoyed a weekend without kids! The Cubs game was fantastic!!!

As well as the friends we were able to spend time with! Thanks to the many people who helped with 4 kids and a dog!!

We had a camping trip with friends! There were 10 children between 3 families and their ages were 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,3,2, and 1! However this only works at the end of July. (And my two boys were the 3 and 3 year olds). There were some great beach days! Tripp enjoyed exploring the sand!

Ella enjoyed some Grandma time.

They each painted a picture that formed a heart!

While Ella had Grandma time, the boys had some daddy time at the zoo!

The tiger was up front and the boys took turns on daddy's shoulders to take a closer look.

If you look close, you may notice that mom's beach chair has gotten occupied! It's not often that I get to sit and hang out. Apparently Riley was reminding me of that!
