Summer 2020

 Summer 2020

COVID summer....  looks a little different.

We had some great camping trips!  They boys had a small Bluey birthday party.  The Canadian border was closed, so that came off the calendar.

Here are a few pics!

Fathers Day!

The boys birthday party was outside with the grandparents!

Memorial Day at Home

Memorial Day at home

The borders to Canada have been closed, so Peter going to camp is not an option right now.

Memorial Day was celebrated in our backyard!

A few random activities during our quarantine

Peter and my anniversary was incredibly uneventful.

Easter was watching church from home. We did dress up but those boys had some LONG hair!  Peter finally buzzed their hair, which has also since grown out. Even Riley's hair is out of control long.

Fun Easter treats

I did a virtual 5k

And the boys did their first virtual 5k!  The Bigfoot Challenge. They are obsessed with bigfoot lately, and apparently Bigfoot is the example of social distancing. The shirt also shows him with a roll of toilet paper. HA!

Tripp had a little help on his scooter

Quarantine of 2020

Quarantine of 2020

It has been over 3 months of "Covid quarantine".  The grocery stores remained open, but with safety protocols and specific hours.  Schools, churches, restaurants, and most stores were closed.

We are now in June 2020 and things have started to open again but with new procedures.

Here are a few school related things we have been doing while home.

We measured the flowers and trees growing around our house

We made a snowman on spring break

LOTS of lego creations. There were a few joint projects

Various science experiments

Tripp spelled his name in fruit snacks

And made patterns

They also made a HUGE track for race cars

Chalk drawings and Hop Scotch

Creations out of waffles...

The boys made a "stage" for a puppet show

All the kids made an impressive vet clinic in our house!

Tripp had some counting practice

And we colored a LOT of pictures

We did a "Family Games" challenge from our school with our little group.

Well, this is new...

Soooooo, there is a literal pandemic in the world.

Can't say I ever imagined myself typing that....

Thursday evening Ella and I had a great time together at the Lauren Daigle concert! (I love her music)

We wake up Friday morning for our last day of school.

By Friday night, our entire life was canceled.  Every last scheduled activity.

And what remains?

Faith

Hope

Love

Here is a few pictures of our days so far!

Our concert!

Watching church online

Apparently there was no parental supervision in the kitchen one morning, as Tripp helped himself to ABC pretzels and taco ranch sauce for breakfast!

When our school was closed, we opened Mom school. It's nowhere near as good as the professionals, but we will make it work for now.

St. Patricks Day - Chef Ella made pancakes to order.  Not exactly healthy, but she did a great job and they had fun!

And green cupcakes!

Brothers

Brothers

It seems like a blur, those years between 2012 and 2016.  Ty was born on July 24, 2012 and a few months later we were pregnant again.

Oooops!

Cort arrived 3 weeks before Ty's first birthday.  They shared their "First 4th of July" together in 2013! Thankfully Tripp arrived 2 years later in July of 2015.

Tripp arrived 3 weeks early, which happened to fall inbetween Ty and Cort's birthdays.  So on July 14, 2015 Tripp was born and both of his brothers were 2 years old!  Cort had just turned 2 and Ty hadn't turned 3 yet.

HAAAA!  Kinda funny looking back.

It. Was. Crazy.

A Blur.

Now we have these 3 boys.  A wolf pack. A different Alpha every other moment.  Unique personalities, but always together.

They all sleep in the same room.  The bunkroom.  The Little Man Cave.

Each morning before school they gather at the kitchen table to eat breakfast and make a "house".

God blessed us with these three little men.  Despite their similarities and differences, they will always have a wingman!

And Ella will have a solid protection detail.

January 2020

January 2020

January started out with a visit to Chicago museum.  A fun trip for the family!

The two older boys received bow and arrows for Christmas. So Peter took them to shoot the target.  I think Cort got the hang of it!

Peter and I had an opportunity to get away together somewhere warm!  It was great to have a few days together without our wonderful children. A HUGE Thank you to Aunt Barb and Uncle Eric for taking the time to come and watch the kids!  They did a GREAT job!

Oh yeah,  and I went blond! (for now)
