Riley is getting bigger and always on the move!

Riley

We have welcomed a new member to our family! His name is Riley and he is a 10 week old cavapoo. Full of energy and still finds time for cuddles and a nap. He and Ella get along wonderfully well.

Life Continued... with pictures

We saw Disney On Ice in Chicago! Tangled and Princess & the Frog. Very fun day!!

Ella asked for a picture of her with her pretend dog, Maizey... Ahhh, the imagination!

We also took Ella and her cousin Eden to the circus. Both girls seemed to enjoy it!

Ella and I made a birdhouse together!

And we relocated her chalkboard, so she helped us paint!

She no longer wanted her "Tangled" (Rapunzel) long hair and wanted it cut.

Our 1st Anniversary!

Life so far...

I don't usually write much, but our life has been captured in memories and not photographs for much of 2012.
In January we enjoyed our typical weeks along with a day of sledding with Ella and a different day of a fantastic Red Wings Game with friends. The last weekend Peter and I enjoyed a weekend in Minnesota with friends. Peter and his friend ran a very cold 10K while us ladies stayed warm. Later that evening, the adults enjoyed dinner at a nice German restaurant. We returned home to Michigan with numerous inches of snow in the driveway. Something that hasn't happened much this winter. Peter had a birthday a few days later, but we won't mention the numbers :)

In February, Peter took a few days to go to camp for his winter snowmobiling trip. He said it was a good trip with beautiful snow and cold temperatures. The guys also caught some fish for dinner one night. We were grateful that the guys could get away and enjoy themselves, and grateful to have them back home.

There has been unfortunate passing of young people this year. The closest being our friends from Minnesota that lost their wife and mother. Peter has known them for years, and I have been able to get to know them over the recent years. They are a dear family and we think of them often. We are blessed to have been able to spend that weekend with them in January and will cherish our time with them and remember her well.

As we grieve the loss of a friend, we are also blessed to be adding a new life to our world. We wait in eager anticipation for this little life to grow healthy and strong.

He or she had the wiggles the day of the ultrasound. It could have been the raspberry iced tea I had at lunch. :) But here are the feet!
