July Camping

We camped twice in July. The first was on the 4th of July and the second was with friends!

July 4 we went to the parade with blue hair then headed to the campground!

Beach Day

We walked the dunes one day!

We visited the lighthouse another day.

The last day we try to get a swim in!

Camping with friends is always fun.  The kids all play so well together.  They range in age from 11 - 3 years.

The older girls were making mermaids on each other

and searching for treasures.

 A walk on the pier.

The camp host had craft time and it was fantastic!  Graham crackers with blue "water" frosting with crushed graham crackers for the sand and goldfish swimming.

They forecast rain for 2 days straight, but we only had a few sprinkles!

The boys made a food truck one day at home!

Cort wrote his name in the sand during his t-ball game :)

Ty finished his t-ball season strong!

Fathers Day was in there somewhere. I tried to get a nice picture of Peter and the boys, but of course someone had to cry about it.  So our "nice Father's Day picture" turned out to be in our bathing suits with "Daddy" written in water squirt gun on the fence...  oh well.

Ella finished her gymnastics year really well!

Lots more camping

We did one more camping trip in June and two more trips in July!

June - we went for a long weekend and it was fine.  There were a lot of mosquitos and a little rain.  The pool water was nice and warm but then the air was cool when you got out.  We watched a movie in the camper one afternoon.

We had a few fire and did s'mores. One time Tripp was hand fed by daddy!

Movie time!

Camping

Thursday evening we headed out to the campground.  On Friday morning we went for our  "school is out" breakfast!

This is Ella's "I'm going to be a 5th grader" breakfast!

This is Ty's "I'm going to be a 1st grader" breakfast!

This is Cort's "I'm going to be a Kindergartner" breakfast!

This is Tripp's "I'm going to be a 3-schooler" breakfast!
And yes, I realize there was absolutely no nutritional value to this breakfast!  Have to indulge on occasion!

Then we had our friends join us at the campground.  The boys and I played on the playground and went for a walk.

While Sara and the girls hung out at the beach!

A bit later we went for ice cream.

Friday evening we dropped the boys off and finished our weekend with just the girls!

Silly girls!

It wasn't the best weather, but we were able to play games and go on bike rides. Somehow Ella was able to color coordinate with her bike!

Last week of school

The last week of school was a very busy time!

Ty had a presentation for his lion project. He and his friend Luke did a great job!

On Monday, Ty seemed to have an allergic reaction to a bug bite. He reminded me of Will Smith in Hitch (look it up!)

Then there was Ty's class field trip. Thankfully his eyes were open by then!

And the last day pictures with our teachers.
