Memorial Weekend

This was the first year in many years that Peter has been in the US for Memorial Weekend.  So we decided to use our time well as we wait for the baby to come.

Our project for the weekend was a new sandbox.  As our size and quantity of children grow, so does the sandbox.

Jumping out of an airplane, or going to work in the backyard?

Backyard after

The sandbox turned out really well!  Ella was able to help a bit as we built it.  The removable cover will keep the critters out.  The side benches are great for the kids to sit on.  We have sand to get and a little bit of landscaping to do, but it should be ready as soon as the rain allows.

Sunday Ty decided to "go fishing".  He was having quite a good time!
However, it tired him out by lunchtime. Or maybe it was all the friends he played with in nursery?

On Memorial Day Ella was able to be in the parade with her school class.  Thankfully the rain held off until after the parade was done!

However, the rain did not hold off for our plans to the beach.  It was a quick trip with friends and their new baby as the cold wind and rain picked up while we were there.

Ella Graduates!

Ella graduated from young 5's and is now off to Kindergarten in the fall. She was very excited for her graduation ceremony!
