Another camping trip!

We have been able to camp a few times this summer. The latest trip was close to home...

 Tripp has a new(used) bike seat!

Our first beach day was perfect!!  Sunny, warm but not too warm, and warm water on the lake!!!

 Ty and Cort got a little tired by the end and almost fell asleep in my chair! 

 Time for a little hike...

 

We made it to the top and took a little rest.

Our second beach day was cloudy, but we were still up for a dip in the warm lake!

However, it wasn't long before the rain came.

 

 And our beach day turned into swim suits and rain boots! 

 Not a look I rock often, or ever.

The rain turned into thunderstorms and a few tornado's inland (not near us).  As soon as the worst past, the kids were out playing in the rain and we came prepared!

The storms past and we were off on another little hike.  To the same spot that Peter popped the big question 5 1/2 years ago! My how things change!

Our third beach day was sunny, but very windy and a touch chilly!  

Today we rocked swimsuits with sweatshirts!

Our garden has produced such great vegetables so far!!  So many beans, a few green peppers and far too many tomatoes, especially since Peter is the only one that eats them!

So he set up a stand!

Now how could you resist these adorable faces?

As my neighbor said, Tripp "could sell ketchup popsicles to ladies with white gloves"!!

Since Cort turned 3, the boys could be in swim class together!

20 years and 20 children later...

Back in the summer of 1996, 5 friends got their picture taken together. 

Then they did it again 20 years later.

I've been blessed to have stayed connected with these fine women for the past 20 years.   We don't always talk a lot, or see each other often. But when we are able to get together, it's very comfortable and encouraging.  I know I will always have a friend in them. 

And ironically, we have 20 children between the 5 of us!

Sometimes our intentions are far better than our executions. Our blueberry picking didn't go smoothly so we ended early and had to buy additional picked blueberries just to have enough for a pie!  But for a few brief moments, they had fun!
