Pumpkinfest, 5K and parade!

We had a fun busy weekend!

Friday night was the little kids pumpkin hunt!

Saturday morning was my 5k and Ella's soccer game!

Despite our busy weekend, Peter found time to grab a cake, complete with a Nascar cake topper ring!  

Nascar... my favorite...(not really)

Peter didn't notice it when he grabbed the cake :)

Sooooo, back in my 20's I would hear the "beep-beep" of my nextel two way in my sleep, even when the phone isn't around!

 

Now, in my 30's I hear children crying and screaming, even when they aren't around!

I wonder what I am going to hear in my 40's??

First vs Fourth

First Child vs Fourth Child

1st child:

-Each day is greeted with a beautiful designer outfit

- Diapers get changed every hour on the hour

- The smallest of squeaks sends mom running to the rescue

- Paci's get washed each time it touches something that isn't the baby's mouth

- Bedtime routine involves a soothing bath and lotion every night

4th Child:

-I think we took off his pj's at 6:30pm when it got pee'd on

He still didn't get dressed... a new onsie will do

- Which brings me to the diaper changes... It's been a while, I should probably go do that now!

- I found that the baby will fall asleep after about 8 minutes of crying.  Not to shabby!

- Yes, i have licked the paci clean and given it to the baby, and I'm guessing the toddlers have to...

-I'm sure the baby had a bath this week, right? Or was that last week?

-Bedtime routine = is the baby sleeping? quick, time for me to go to bed too since he's probably still in his pj's from the night before!

Labor Day weekend

We headed north for a fun (and busy) weekend away!

Ella and Ty were building things out of the wood.

We did enjoy our weekend.  We had a nice, fully furnished condo and the kids stayed entertained while we were there.  The beach and lake were fantastic.  Tripp made his first trip to the beach. However, I didn't have a bathing suit in a newborn size, so he didn't get wet.  Peter and Ella also swam in the condo pool.  We spend time outside on a "tractor hayride" as Ty called it.  We also got ice cream and went to story time.  It was very busy, but worth it!
